Worship and Prayer

Gathering together in worship as a faith community is the most visible aspect of our Catholic faith. We work hard to make our worship services aesthetically inspiring and spiritually satisfying. Our parish liturgical environment richly reflects the symbolism of the Church's seasonal cycle, helping us enter into the fullness of the celebration.  The music and choral talents of our community enhance and deepen the liturgical experience. To support our liturgies, we rely heavily on our volunteers.  This past year there were 30 Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, 60 Altar Servers for the weekday and weekend masses, 34 Ushers and Greeters and Ministers of Hospitality, 29  Lectors and over 37 music ministers who all have visible roles enhancing the Eucharistic liturgies at St. Stephen’s. Although the above “counts” may appear impressive – the unfortunate reality is that a handful of people are wearing multiple hats and we really could use more help in organizing our worship life. Listed below are ways you can get involved.
